About the action

Introduction to the Association

L'Abeille qui Relie, based in Drôme, is an association established in 2020. Its mission is to help individuals, communities, and businesses care for the living world and biodiversity. These are crucial issues in our world, which is facing an ecological and social crisis, drawing inspiration from the Wisdom of Bees.

We have 3 areas of activity:
- Creating abundance: Training/awareness to meet the Bee, support it, and create fertile ecosystems (focused on know-how), including workshops on making spiral woven solar hives
- Spreading one's wings: Retreats and seminars to improve self-knowledge by drawing inspiration from the Wisdom of Bees (focused on being, collective intelligence)
- Swarming: Organizing and participating in events to communicate about the Wisdom of Bees

Project Description

Setting up an educational apiary. The result of a partnership between the association L'Abeille qui Relie and Les Amanins, in Drôme, the educational apiary aims to support the well-being of local honey bees, the pollination of the agroecological center, and to raise awareness among the public and school children at Les Amanins about biodiversity.

Creating an educational apiary involves:

A bee conservation project: setting up biodiversity hives with:

2 Warré glass hives in an orchard with swarms of local black bees
1 woven wicker solar hive, perched in a beautiful oak tree and anchored, with a swarm of local black bees, to promote rewilding. The solar hive aims to restore the bee's role as a pollinator, to invite us to adopt a guardian's posture towards bees, to observe, contemplate, limit interventions, and learn to care for the living.

An educational project about biodiversity, climate change, being (respect, stress management...), food and health (taste, touch, quality of what we eat...)

A project to conserve traditional beekeeping skills:
building straw hives in wickerwork
highlighting traditional know-how

A collective project that connects humans with their future learning to work together > a space for connection between the employees of Les Amanins, the market gardeners, school children, and the general public
