Introduction to the Yalinnove Association

Yalinnove aims to develop, raise awareness, and promote environmental actions. Our first project is the planting of an edible forest in Gensac-sur-Garonne, 50km from Toulouse. Also known as a food forest or forest garden, an edible forest is a cultivation space based on the model of a natural forest. It features a wide variety of trees and plants evolving across 7 layers: the canopy, small trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, root plants, ground covers, and climbers. This type of cultivation is designed to provide a condensed production of diverse foods on small areas and offers the advantage of being a favorable environment for the protection of plant and animal biodiversity.

Many harvests are expected as we aim for healthy food for everyone. We want to create a living space where people can exchange and transmit the importance of ecosystems. We also plan to create ecological habitats to offer stays for people wishing to rejuvenate. Our goal is to export this idea to other places.

Yalinnove offers various activities; we are active in the arts because we believe that culture plays a role in transmitting values. We also offer objects printed in 3D with bio-based and biodegradable materials, as we are convinced that technology can be used to serve the environment.

Project Presentation

The funding received from Ecomail will allow us to start the 3rd layer of the Delights Forest, which involves planting shrubs like raspberry bushes, currants, hazelnuts, quinces, goji berries, sage, rosemary, wild roses, and many more—200 shrubs in total. Subsequently, we plan to install a pond as we want to enrich this place with more biodiversity. Your help is precious to advance the cause of environmental preservation and enhancement.
