Volée de Piafs

The association Volée de Piafs – Wildlife Rescue Center is a non-profit organization established in 2007, located in Languidic in the Morbihan department. The purpose of the association is to collect distressed birds, terrestrial mammals, and marine mammals, rehabilitate them, and reintroduce them into their natural environment.

The association has several missions, with the primary one being the care of wild animals under the direction of the qualified manager. It acts as a health sentinel, participating in the epidemiological surveillance of wildlife, and is also involved in a participatory science program dedicated to the study of hematophagous flat flies living on birds. Volée de Piafs also undertakes the recovery of rings on banded birds, in connection with Bretagne Vivante and the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN). Finally, it conducts environmental preservation awareness activities.

The care center requires various infrastructures: an infirmary, spaces and structures for small mammals and birds, quarantine enclosures, aviaries, and various specific equipment for marine animals. To operate, the Volée de Piafs association relies on the help of its volunteers, financial support from its members, and various partners.
